For a lot of folks it's more convenient to play SP rather than MP or they just prefer SP. The vast majority of developers don't seem to realise this or just prefer to ignore them; in my book, games should be written with a 50-50 split in game content, so that the SP & MP experience are of equal strength - that way we all get what we want & game developers are in a win-win situation.

Ain't gonna happen though.

As someone who lives in Yorkshire (not too far from Wakefield)... i'm looking forward to this.
But i think it's a really odd choice, i don't think many people outside of England have even heard of the War of the Roses

Anyway, i will be kicking arse as York.

I think interest in a particular war period is to a certain degree informed by how many movies have been devoted to it. For example, how many of us would have become interested in the Sengoku period if not for the films of Akira Kurosawa ? The American Civil War has featured in many movies; the Napoleonic period has War and Peace, The Battle of Austerlitz, Waterloo & the Sharpe TV shows to name but a few. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the Wars of the Roses is not widely known outside the UK as it has gone largely unrecognized in celluloid terms. This perhaps also governs how many games and wargame figure ranges have featured a particular historical period.

Argh I cant wait for this game !! Imaging if MB had these graphics though ? That wouldnt just be amazing ! However the trouble with multiplayer in any game is that it always reaches a point where its full on angry children and adults that take it far too seriously. Although I'm not sure what toolish behaviour they could come up with in war of the roses..No scoped with a long bow ?
