    Default CTDs during battles

After playing RS2 for 4 months all of a sudden Im getting CTDs during battles, usually before I fully engage the enemy lines and at least once right at the beginning. I havent installed any other mods nor changed any settings. So far its when Im fighting the Romans full stack vs full stack. I'll pick a fight with another faction later and see if it does it then as well.

This after 2 months of only 1 CTD at EOT (Free People caused it) and since I save often and leapfrog my saves that issue cleared itself up.

    XP SP3
CORE 2 DUO 1.4gig (RS2 is set to run on only one core)
    GeForce 8500GT
    2GB RAM

    Halp?

This is the first place to look: here.

Arphenion - no technical details supplied. What do you think we can do without that?

    Hahaha, problem solved i think...

i think it was the bitrate of the file "Group_Fight_Large.wav" large melee sound effect.

because i recently modified this file, but it was 1500 kbps i think. But the default Rome sound files is
352 kbps. so every time two units were about to collide, CTD occurred. So i changed the Kbps and now CTDs ended.
