Default Help me build a new PC

Ok so here is the deal. I want to build a new pc in Sept or October. I will be selling my current system. I will also be selling the current UPS and monitor.

I will be buying these two things no matter what (unless you can suggest a better product for cheaper)

    UPS from Cyber Power

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16842102134

    47' monitor

    http://www.walmart.com/ip/Vizio-E470VL/13904838

    Total for those 2 products is 698 + 199 = 897

My total budget is about 2300 - 897 = 1403 (unless you can find a 120hz 47 inch monitor for cheaper)

What will I do with my PC? I will play every game I can get my hands on. I will run them in windowed mode while running at least 5 to 6 other applications at a time. 16 GB of ram (at least) will be desired. I also do folding and SETI@home. Please keep that in mind.

Well first off why the ups (sorry am a brit and dont see this much). just buy a surge protection unit and stick to normal psu?

and i guess from the looks of it you want tv and monitor all in one?

also why run in windowed mode? that doesnt make sense to me...and generally 5-6 apps whilst running games is a no-no. even on a sandbybridge...well in all my yrs i never hears someone doing gaming and say folding at the same time...

apart from that can suggest you a build later on down the line. things can change so if you can set more a less a date its a better option rather than chopping and changing. i guess you are in the us?

Ok for the PSU question its a simple answer. I live in a desert. This year it has hit 100 degrees F 42 (today will be 43) days. We have lost power 6 times over the summer and guess what didnt lose power? My computer. Power failure is not a very nice thing to HDDs and MBs. Before I got the UPS I had lost several parts to power failure.

Yes I want a TV and monitor. I have a TV tuner and I watch TV on my computer. Its more convenient.

Windowed mode is because people are always messaging me and some of them are fairly important messages. Co-workers and my family know its better to send me a message via the internet than to call me as I usually keep my phone off (I detest talking on a cell phone) I do not want to miss these messages.

As for gaming and folding. I do not do them simultaneously. I play games I mess about on the computer. When I go to bed I turn on the folding application (currently using BOINC) and let my computer do something useful while I am sleeping and at work.

The firm date for ordering my parts would be october 1st. My main reason for waiting (besides my wife) is by then I'll know whether to go for a SB or to go for a BD. If bulldozer isnt out and with benchmarks that impress by the end of september I will be moving back to intel after being with AMD for the last 7 years.
