    Default question about retraining units

    hi,

is there a way to change the number of turns required when retraining units? or just to have units retrained one by one?

    thanks...

I believe all units you select for retraining will all be retrained at once.

Or were you looking for a way to make it more like M2TW?

Please rep me for my posts, not for the fact that i have a Pony as an Avatar.

I was looking for a way to slow down retraining processus. ie make units retrain one by one and not all at once. Or edit the number of turns required, so instead of zero you put 2 or 3.

Milju Delem, do you mean when you re-train your units you can re-train 9 at once?

if so i don't think its possible to change it so it takes 1 turn to re-train, it's either hard-coded or would require you to alter key game files/programs.

    yeah nice one

I was asking that for AI.

I'm editing EDI because I want units to take a loooong time to train (and to retrain), and I wants units that cost much more each turn than in vanilla. The result will be smaller armies for every factions, less stack spaming and each battle should be really decisive. But I don't want it to be ruined if AI can retrain units in 0 turn. I personally dont retrain units and I don't want the AI to do so...

If you don“t have alex, the ai isn“t smart enough to retrain. But be aware, that your changes affect the game in another way: You will mostly be faced with Armys with 1 or 2 Units. Actually, high costs and 0-Turn Recruitment might even be a better way to go, but you should test that yourself.
