Ok, planning on doing a one province only campaign and i simply wants to know which one to choose, surrounded by behemoths is a plus aswell.

Well, for merchant trade, it's Timbuktu. For sea trade it's probably either Venice, Constantinople, Iraklion or Alexandria. For mining it's Zagreb, Vienna or Stockholm.
So there are many choices![]()
Antioch. In my egypt campaign it had an income of 10000+ per turn.
Genoa or Venice are both pretty wealthy, plus you'll be surrounded by strong enemies, particularly if you piss off the pope![]()
It differs game to game, but the most consistently wealthy are Constantinople, Venice, Genoa, London, Antioch, and anything on an island.
Jon had taken Donal and Benjen’s advice to heart: Sam may be fat and pathetic, but he is still a member of the watch, and one of the few black brothers who isn't a rapist or thief. (out of context, this sounds ridiculously racist)

My choice would be Constantinople. Historically the greatest city of the map, with huge wealth, and you can just let Venice, Hungary and the Turks attack you from every possible angle![]()

imo, 1.antioch, 2. constantinople, 3. venice
i have thought about doing similar, putting a catholic faction in the holy lands with just antioch as a starting settlement.
as a few posters have said before with antioch, you will definatly see the timruids there!
Genoa and Venice were incredibly wealthy in one of my campaigns
Cry God for Harry, England and Saint George!
keep in mind that 1 city (no matter how wealthy it is) won't be enough to pay for a garrison (cause I think you plan to defend yourself with more than just the 5 free upkeep units you can have) and for the FM's bodyguards
Înfrânt nu eşti atunci când sângeri,
nici ochii când în lacrimi ţi-s.
Adevăratele înfrângeri,
sunt renunţările la vis.

Constantinople all the money in medieval era
Most Chivalrous commander 2020-2021
well basicly im planning to fend off siege after siege while getting money from sacking and ransoming although i dont want to only rely on those for income, im thinking of constantinople really as it seem to have a good blend although antioch might be interesting to
and after a while all non sea locked provinces will have mighty enemies
i am going to play as genoa for the militias btw
