Scythian Campaign
While were waiting for a fix on the CTD's I kicked off a Scythian Campaign (Bi, 0 turn, H/H) using the current user release of RSII.
So far its a pretty cool campaign and like Sparta you have to go on the offensive pretty early on. Its currently 25 years into the campaign and I've expanded to 10 settlements, economy is ok 15k a turn and have effectively 4 full stacks and a few garrison units per settlement. At war with Pontus, Samartians (thats been pretty aggresive but surprisingly they are not as strong as they were in the Seleucids camp) , Cimbri and Macedon. Dacia has been an ally for the last 10 years but I don;t know how long thats going to last.
2.5 full stacks and nearly all of the units are at least 2 silver chevron and both Generals are 10 star commanders all have been gained through battles. However, I've just upgraded one of the buildings (can;t remember which one) at what used to be the Bosproan captial and that now instantly gives the units 3 bronze chevrons so can that be right ??
The other thing is that none of these 2 10 star generals have gained the leads from the front trait even though I am using the same kind of tactics and formations that I have used for the Selecuids, Macedon, Massila and Syracuse campaigns. The only difference I can see is that both generals have only had 2-3 Heroic victories compared to 5+ that commanders of the Greek factions end up with when they go into battle.
