Changing Ship Starting Crew Sizes
Hello everyone,
I am making a custom mod to make the campaign feel a little more realistic (cheaper unit upkeep to end up with larger armies on the campaign map, longer tech research and unit recruitment times, weekly instead of biannual turns to reflect realistic unit movement on the campaign map, etc, etc.)
One aspect that I am changing is the crew size/breakdown for all of the ships in the game to their average historical values. I have managed to change the upper limit to crew size, and have modded the numbers for marines and crewmembers (gunner limit is hardcoded. >.> ), but when I start a campaign or custom map, the ships actual crew count is still what it was originally at before my mod. I've been searching the forums and the rest of the internet for the answer to this for the better part of a day with no success. I was wondering if anyone had some insight as to how to go about fixing this.
I am using the latest version of DMUC and modding with DBEdtior 1.8.
Any advice is much appreciated.
