Re: i need some seroius help
This is another topic concerning an installation bug, maybe somebody should make a sticky for the solutions to it? (Or is there already one out there that can be linked to in the future?)

I suggest you manually start the setup for the installation. How do you do that? I'll try and explain it my best:- Enter your RTW Disc #1.
- Do not choose any of the autostrat options. Instead, go to 'My Computer,' right click on the CD icon, and click Open.
- Once inside you'll see many folders/icons. Look for the icon that is called Rome Total War(TM) and click it. (If not that, then Setup)
- Your game will then "uninstall," even though you already deleted your folders. You can reinstall after.
EDIT: Never mind, I have found the link:

Things are very seldom what they seem. In my experience, they’re usually a damn sight worse.

just make sure you have errased all traces of Rome, then reinstall it, then install the 1.1 and 1.2 patches. RTR should work by then.
