The villa of Aulus Terentius Fiber lies just to the north of Roma and is the ancestral villa of the Fiber family, or at least for those scions of the Fibers who come to take up a Senate position. It lies on a dusty hillside, overlooking a similarly dusty valley of farms and vines. The Fibers also occupy an unfashionable townhouse in Roma itself, where Aulus resides when he has senate business.

Biography

Aulus Terentius Fiber is the oldest scion of the latest generation of the Fibers, a Roman family who own a series of medium earning farms in northern Italia. Aulus, being the oldest son in his generation, has recently been sent back from Alsium, where the family has traditionally been based, to Roma itself, to take up the senate seat of the family. Aulus himself is a strong believer in the power of the Roman Senate and the civilising quality of Roman Law and customs. Before being sent to Roma to make his way, Aulus had helped look after the Fiber farms in northern Italia in person and so has gained a strong eye for the worth of both material objects and the statements of fact. However, aside from protecting agriculutral iunterests in the subcontinent, Aulus has no definite aims.

Gnaeus sat down and started to deliver his proposal.

"It has come to my attention senator, that you are running for praetor this term, and i would propose an alliance of sorts. If you would back me in my attempt to become Quaestor i believe that you may find yourself with one extra vote, for that position, i have found that in Rome allies are needed, and this proposal would benefit us both."

'Perhaps it would Senator; are there any more specific ways in which this might benefit us both in the long-term?'

[Dark Storm]

"If we both did support each other there is a strong possibility we would both end up in positions of power, if you wanted to further a goal or create a law, having support may bring your dream into reality and vice versa. Not only this but the increase in monetary gain greatly changes and money is everything in Rome, don't you think senator?"

'Not everything perhaps, but a large degree of something. Very well then, you have my support - I dare say this shall be a very fortuitous alliance between both our houses.'

[Dark Storm]

"Thank you senator, i dare say it just might be. I will extend an open invitiation to my villa for you senator, should you need to discuss anything with me. I must now take my leave sir, goodbye."

Senator Gnaeus left the Villa, pleased with how the days events had gone, and glad he had found himself a new ally.
