    Hi there !Yesterday night i tried alot to find and change the lines
    from
    65 unit_models/AttachmentSets/Final Knights Heads_slave_norm.texture
    to
    64 unit_models/AttachmentSets/final knights heads_base_norm.texture
    Well, i found and changed some 5-6 lines . That should be all?
    Because there are thousands of lines there and i might missed some.
    After i changed those 5-6 lines i tried to play a battle which was CTD. Yet , still the same problem did not fix.
    I play as byzz and the opponent is sicily.
    It is weird that when i paly custom battle for example venice vs sicily and i choose men to arms i play the battle normally without any CTD !
    Do you have any suggestions?

    Can u play the battle in a new campaign? Or just in custom battles

    I'm having a similar problem

    I had CTDs when playing as Byzantines vs Papal States where they had men at arms with bronze armour upgrade.

    I've edited the file as above for all strings but keeping the space and zero. Problem solved.

    However, when attacking a Sicilian army with men at arms (horse) with the bronze armour upgrade, again CTD.

    Could gracul give us the quick fix from the next release?

    I've turned off UAC and using SS6.4, BGR II, Gracul AI, permanent watchtowers/arrows, longer assimilation

    I forgot to mention that i did not erased the whole lines and write it again. I just erased the mistaken parts of the line and write it as you said .

    Have you got UAC turned off if you have Win7 or Vista?

    After i fix the lines i tried to play the battle in my current campaign. I was byzz against Sicily. Round 201. I couldn't. It CTD.
    After that i tried to play a custom battle. Me Venice against Sicily. Both armies had Mens To Arms. It played normally WITHOUT CTD.

    try it in a new campaign, the changes may not be save game compatible maybe...

    Changes to the modeldb file are savegame compatible.

    Bumping this thread, all replacing those files did was make the game unable to launch. It seems that solution hasn't worked for myself and others, and it isn't fixed in the default download.

    No sub-mods, 6.4, permanent watchtowers, savage AI, windows 7 uac off ect ect. I'm running windows 7 off of a macintosh.

    oops, it turns out the entire string doesn't include the space and zero after the text line, copying it and leaving those alone has made at least venice men at arms work, but HRE mean at arms still cause crash. here the log from the latest crash

    These are for the second armor upgrade for the Men at Arms of Sicily and HRE.

    An easy fix to this would be for anyone who has both of these units working on their install to upload their SS6.3\data\unit_models folder.

    Apart from what my colleagues and the mods have mentioned in this post already, there isn't an easy fix for this until the next version... But if you're desperate to get these working in-game and are comfortable with editing the battle_models.modeldb file, then it might be worth checking this thread, as it contains updated versions of the models and textures for the very same units I originally sent to Gracul:-

    Well, I replaced the sicilian textures, attachments etc. with the ones from your mod- the modeldb file entries were identical with the ones in the existing file, so I didn't edit them

    Still I get CTD..

    Sorry friend, this problem has me stumped... I've spent the morning reinstalling SS 6.3 from scratch, updated it to 6.4, added all the new unit models and textures from the Late Knights pack, then tested some custom battles between the HRE and Sicily using all the different armour upgrades for the Men at Arms, Generals Bodyguard and Chivalric Knights and so far they all seem to be working fine on my end...

    I've even re-uploaded the archive file to Mediafire again, in the rare chance that one or several files inside it got corrupted somehow.

    If anyone else is having this issue then please let me know, along with any specific error messages that are coming up... Hopefully I'll be able to get to the bottom of all this..... If there's a conflict with another submod, then I might be able to release a compatibility fix or something.
