He has a naturally pessimistic personality, but for now, at least, he feels more optimistic about things. That's likely to change in the future.

    edit:
By that, I mean, he's likely to swing back to pessimism; that's just his natural state. At this time in his life, he's feeling more optimistic than normal.

sooooo this sounds like a nice description but is it a mistake or not?
if not i really like to have the chance of changing the traits of crappy generals at this point there might be some people who would agree with me because if theres allready this chance you could give some minor chances to tune the generals through some heroic battles or that kind of things that would be truly awesome. Till then i decide to make fun of my contradictorily general

edit: a thing that i ask myself now is: will he be able to lose his optimistic trait again
    that would be quite unfunny

I think the two slashed entries are tendencies, not actual traits. e.g. a "langorous" general is more likely to gain movement curtailing traits and prefer a sedentary life. However, I think that if you keep moving him hard he sort of overcomes his predisposition. Nature vs. nurture and all that jazz.

You probably won't: it was removed in 0.74b and was only in the original open beta, along with "Likes Easy Battles".
