Vassals
Im playing the total war serial since rome but i never used to let my enemies live as my vassals but once.
I was playing as France and forced the moors, aragon and germany as my vassals. Portugal attacked the moors but i wasnt automatically at war with them. Thats odd since i should be the king over the vassals and every attacker who attacks my vassal attacks the holy king himself.
Anyone can confirm that bug, knows a fix or can say i have to live with that?
Thanks for any help

Re: Vassals
Thats pity. But the vassals can still backstabbing you right? I dont see the point in having vassals then. Only point i can see if you are too louzy to build up the cities
or you want a puffer against your enemies.
Thanks anyway. +Rep you.

Re: Vassals
At least in my experience, when you have an AI faction as a vassal, they almost never backstab you. But the only good thing about vassalage is certainly the economical advantage. You get half their income every single turn

Re: Vassals
Sounds interesting. Do i have to gift my vassals money to keep the reputation high to me in order not to get backstabbed? Would you recommend to have an army in their lands so they dont waste tempting thoughts?

Re: Vassals
No, because they wouldn't dare to backstab you anyway, no matter what you do
