    is there a quicker way to get rid of plague other than isolating it

    You should welcome it. Too many people = frequent unrest. A plague cleans it out.

    Public health buildings make plague less likely, but I don't know if it shortens the amount of time they endure.

    Oh, and there is a useful thing you can do with the plague:

    Build spies, and they will automatically receive the plague. Send them to other factions' cities so that you can hurt their economy, and if your spy loses the plague just send him to a city that has the plague so that he can get it all over again. These spies may not live happy lives, but they have to obey your commands. :ninja :whip
