    Default Resignation

Thats it. The recent shocking decision by staff to reappoint Crandar has pushed me too far. Im following the example of Sel and resigning. I am shocked that the Hex would reappoint someone who nearly bought the forum to its knees with his nazi moderating style.

I have only ever tried to help the site, and i hope that i have done a good job during my time as a UL and Quaestor, but i refuse to work with someone like Crandar. This decision to reappoint him will tear the staff apart. When news of his reappointment leaked through to the staff forum from the hex, a huge row broke out, with me and Sel protesting vehemently against the decision. We were shouted down and called traitors. Traitors, for only arguing against a decison that may tear the site apart. Many people who i thought would never support something like this have, and i am especially disappointed with Asterix and Tac. I completely misjudged them. Their fervent backing of Crandar have left me disappointed and saddened. Already some of his actions in the staff forum have shocked me, he has deleted some of my posts already, claiming they are spam. As my voice in staff is being muted by Crandar, i must leave staff. His list of civs to ostrakon is incredulous, featuring several of the very best members of this site.

Already his reappointment is dividing the site, and i will rally to the cause against the crandar, fighting him to the last. Having crandar around will destroy the slightly laid back attitutde to moderating at TWC there is, which helps create the great atmopshere of this site. Crandar will kill this dead, then probably proceed to kill off most discussion as it can be classified as "trolling" by him, even this thread probably could.

I only hope that this does not wreck this great site, but im not sure it will be a great site anymore with Crandar around.

I think you're acting too emotional now. There is no need. I strongly suggest you give it a night's sleep and thinking and continue to do an excellent moderator-job.

Crandar will not be allowed to do silly things when under control of the repectable TBN, Justinian, Simetrical and Archer.

Don't leave, it will do no good. :hcry

Lusted, we really need you here...you just can't leave. Please reconsider. Maybe Crandar has changed, as far as I remember, this Crandar guy (which I never really knew during his active time) has already been doing a superb job at these forums so far, being always of help to new members of staff and other people and always being very polite. Don't misjudge him for the split character he had been showing during the end. It might be that his problems are sorted out. I mean we always got along well in staff...Asterix has supported me in the past as well as Proximus and Valus have. Justinian has always been a fun to work with etc... So why are you leaving this great team - is it just because you can't overcome your bias on Crandar...Come on and take it like a man. Stay.! :no

It's no use Boud, obviously he can't act like a man, neither could anyother of those that has resigned. We will all be better off without them, since they fails to understand that we must stand united in this.

Wow, true colors really do show in times of crisis, and I ain't liking what I've been seeing.

Anyone who disagrees and doesn't want to put up with crap can't all it quits? When was that made a rule?

Well given the recent actions of the senior staff, i do not feel they are acting in the best interest of the site, i cannot continue to work with them.

So yet another cry baby turns drama queen, anyone who put his own best interest and his own ego before TWC is surely unfit to be staff. I think we soon have found all tratiorus cowards and either demoted them or forced them to resign. Once this has been done I hope that we all can work TOGATHER to solve this small issue.

It's not because you're an UL you have to cheer every decision of the staff. I think your reaction shows little respect towards your ex-collegue.

Let me quote someone for you,

I think we soon have found all tratiorus cowards and either demoted them or forced them to resign.
Do you know who said that? You...get my point?

I don't blame Lusted for doing what he has done. I wouldn't want to be a staff member if Crandar was also. Now, am I a traitor, coward, or was I a bad staff member? I think not. You are obviously wrong about many things.

Were you even on TWC when Crandar did his thing? If you were then what you are saying is frankly stupid. If you weren't then I'm sure there are many here that can educate you.

Agreed. It seems to me like all the staff, at least of the lower ranks, are too new to remember that event. But when tons of us are saying this is a bad idea, they can't understand why, nor do they want to listen to what we have to say.

The only current member of the Hex who wasn't around during Crandar's moderacy is, I think, TBN. Heck, he was my patron, and I believe Archer served as Quaestor alongside him.

As for perceived flaming/aggressiveness/insults, he just briefly lapsed into old habits. He's going to improve perfectly fine, don't worry. If he doesn't, rest assured that we will not tolerate his continuing presence on the staff.

Because as I said in that thread, if any one of those Ostraka can succeed (not that I believe they will) than Crandar can Ostrakon any Civitate he wants to. It does not engender confidence when this greatly controversial member suddenly reappears in a position of immediate power and starts attempting to censure people for what are and always have been legal actions. It means jack diddly that he won't succeed, it shows a mentality of hostility and vengeance against those who he perceives have wronged him and the site, and it was my understanding that we didn't want people like that as moderators.

Once again, you should be able to understand that to most people familiar with his earlier habits, it seems as if no change has occurred, and most are more than a little concerned that with his new moderating powers, watched by staff or not, he will continually lapse into old habits. You should remember that just because he's been helping staff for a while now, to the rest of us this is a VERY sudden development.

Jesus, what is this, three or four new senatorii today?

    Unbelievable...

I find it funny that most of the staff supporting Crandar say that they weren't around during his earlier hijinx. But all those who oppose him seem to be misguided and have black evil hearts incapable of forgiveness....

From what i've seen so far crandar has not cvhanged, his rediculous classification of trolling and his ostrakons are insane. I cannot work with peole who allow that guy back in staff. i thought you guys would realise what he would do to the site, but i was wrong. I am disappointed with you.

United over what, some nice moderator who will ruin the site, i am glad i am no longer amongst the ranks of people who supported him.

Why don't you stop being so inconsiderate and actually give him a second chance? No go ahead see everything from your own limited pow.
