a bigger role for religion
religion plays a big part in the BC universe, so I thought it would be interesting to make more of it. I was wondering if it was possible to make certain units available depending on the religous affiliation of a region, similar to third ages culture system? For instance, the ghaznavids could unlock turkish style units (perhaps ghulams and ghazis) after they islamise a hindu region enough... it could also make recruiting certain hindu units impossible in order to create an interesting choice system. Same for the mamlakat, not sure if its possible to build both islamic and hindu structures in one faction but it would be an interesting way to make religion more than a means of increasing stability. They could unlock and/or have faster replenishment rates for hindu units... or islamic ones depending on these choices. Same for the koj and roman empire, promoting christianity will make units more easily available, and maybe unlock some new units in conquered regions. The rajputs could increase access to hindu units in hindustan regions and so on and son on. These unlockable units could be religous fanatics aka ghazis, crusaders, not sure if hindus had religous fanatics lol. What does the team think?

When u conquer a christian region.. their units especially those who come from orders will not serve since they are only loyal to a christian king... as for cultural units such as turkoman.. Syrian nobles etc.. can only be recruited in their regions otherwise it will not make any sense to recruit Syrian noble in India.
Bottom line... religious units will only be unlock-able if u follow their religion.. cultural units are only available if u recruit them in their region. Thats is why its a pain to try expanding ur empire especially that for me the Abbasid Caliphate has amazing units, however only available in regions next to Mesopotamia..
I think that maybe a better solution would be to give mosques or temples a bigger role in unit recruiting... just like a Hospitaller or Templar chapter... a mosque should have mutatawiia units... mujaheddin units or even recruiting a general since during medieval times... imams revolted and led jihads etc. That way... u can make expanding the empire much easier.
Or... u can add a cultural meter and based on it... u can recruit the empire's unit just like in Britannica
