    Default Kingdom of Sweden

I'm using version 6.3 starting at Late Era at the moment. I saw a screenshot in the Screenie-thread displaying a Swedish king. But as far as I know there is no such faction when I play.

Now is this because I am playing Late Era or that I havn't got version 6.4 yet? Would really like to know as it is my nationality and I'd love to play them The irish is also a Campaign I noticed but can't play...

EDIT: Also bit of a noobish question. I've got a few hundred hours of playtime on Total War games but I rarely play games for longer than 100 turns as I get bored and start new campaigns. I usally plan on just playing, not to reach my goals. So my question is: after my time is up and i am allowed to keep playing- Will I still get new randomized lords? I'm pretty sure I do but I want to know for sure first.

And another question, if you'd allow me Is there any way to allow for more archers be able to place sharpened stakes? Cause at the moment too few are able to imo.

Thank you for having made an incredible mod But it was actually a screenshot on the 2nd last page of the stickied thread, of a Swedish king getting torn to pieces by a band of spearmen.

Didn't realize there were sub-mods for this mod untill now. These forums confused me a little lol.

I don't know what you mean by "lords", but yes, they'll be random. Only the beginning generals are historical. As soon as you press End Turn, you're changing history.
Well historically they did use different minor fortifications in battles, doesn't have to be stakes, but anything that lets you change the battlemap for defensive purposes is welcome for me- a little historical incorrectness has never killed anyone

As for "lords" I'm sadly influenced by Mount and Blade, but I obviously meant Generals and Family Members as you seemed to understand.

    Thanks for the help.

unless the map is expanded, Scandinavia is too small and crowded to fit another Faction in it,

regrettably the M2 engine only supports up to a certain number of factions.

Scandinavia is way over represented in SS, it has something like 11 settlements IIRC.

Sweden is in the Battle for the Baltic 2.0 mod, currently for 6.1(where Sweden replaces Ireland). Good mod, I recommend it, it does a full overhaul of the Scandanavian units.

And yeah, Scandanavia is a little over represented, but I <3 me some Viking stuff, so its good by me. And IMO, the "three factions in an area" is a good thing, more fighty in the early part of the game. This isnt Age of Empires where you have some really lame units in the first age, this is Total War!

Iberia has Protugal, Leon-Castille, and the Moors and possibly Aragon. France has England and Aragon(I normally dont see the HRE going after France), Italy is well known for it's factions

Bah, doesnt bother me much. Most of the factions have swordsmen now, for the early era, and I wouldnt mind throwing in something like Fyrdmen for the English, and Dismounted Mailed Knights, or make the Feudal Knights appear earlier. I like having stuff to do in the beginning of the game

Ireland was also removed because it was historically insignificant.

Just add "stakes" to the unit in the EDU. However, stakes (especially in their current form) are a bunch of unrealistic, unhistorical crap, and you should be removing them from every unit rather than adding them.

I always start in the Early Era campaign O_O I like working my way up and expanding the Empire. Also, it makes the units feel more important Those Prussian Archers will help me destroy Genoa for good!

And as for Ireland being historically insignificant, it is, but I still dont think thats a good enough reason to kick them out of the game <_< I mean, I consider myself something of an amature historian, and I knew nothing about the Cuman Khanate until SS, and the Knights Templar were historically important, but I dont think of them as being a "faction". But if I had my way, there'd be enough room in Stainless Steel for all factions XD Get Serbia and Bulgaria in there! And Switzerland! And whoever else

It feels badass to conqure the world with your "home faction"(Im of Irish descent)

There is no Swedish faction in vanilla SS afaik, It was most likey a mod.The Irish is from pre SS 6.2 as they were removed in 6.2 due to the AI being to retarded to actually use them well.
