    Default plague problem

    hi all,
i have a little problem with the plague; almost every turn another city gets it and it really annoys me...
i'm not talking about the great death event, i'm not there yet.
my question is: does anyone know what i need to edit to reduce the probability for plague to infect a settlement?

fist of all make sure you don't move infected characters between cities as they will infect the new city. That goes for generals, priests, spy's and so on. Also if you have many cities by the seaside then you will be visited by the plague more often.

Yes you can but you easily manage by building buildings that give a health bonus.I cant remember what file to edit as i havnt touched TW modding in a few months.

the EDB has it, or export_descr_buildings as it is known longhand, find an abbey or town hall and the name should be health ... uhm... crap one minute ah, here

    population_health_bonus bonus

and just stick a # next to it, problem is it allows more filthy population, I want a stable population not more of these filthy beggars being born... anyhow, that'll do it.

No you misunderstood i forgot the file that affects plague factors, it might be descr_campaign_db.xml and ctrl+f for plague. Also doing what you suggested would make his game too easy as Health affects pop growth so he would have huge cities and citadels everywhere.

As for your other problem, I get it as well, my only guess is that a damn spy went from town to town infecting, however I notice no unrest added, regardless, it's annoying, I have no idea how to fix that.

If you wanna go C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign
and open the descr_events text, is the file you need to edit.
When you are in the campain map you must use in the console the "show_cursorstat" and place the mouse above your castles/cities in order to see the coordinates (something like this: x 258, y 185) .
Then open the ''descr_events'' text as mentioned above and search with "ctrl+f" the coordinates of your castles/cities.
If you delete them i thinK that you will not be affected by the plague.

Or chech in C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3\data\world\maps\base
and delete map.rwm, then open descr_disasters.text and search with "ctrl+f" "event plague".
If you delete all lines there i think it might work.
Try that and see what happens.. but first of, whatever you do, BACK-UP your files!!!
