    Icon5 Edited unit causing crash

    Hey there, hopefully this is the right area. I've edited a unit in third age in order to give it a javelin to throw before engaging however this is causing the game to crash.

    The unit was dragonslayers, I wanted to give them a more "roman" feel by adding a javelin to chuck as well. Obviously I'm doing somethnig wrong. Is it that javelins can't be thrown while in shield wall formation? Or have I missed something quite obvious...? Am I meant to add something to another file because I've added a new weapon? If so what and where

    Well, since dragonslayers are actual javelin units you are definately going to have problems. First off, you can't use dwavern_warriors as the animation set because that animation doesn't have a javelin throwing animation or any missile animation for that matter. On top of that, many other things that involve the model itself and the group comments. Sorry, but if you want to make this unit a javelin you have to read some modding tutorials.

    Ah bugger, I need to edit another database file apparently to add some animations but i have no program that will open it :p
