Default So, how do you guys go about migrating?

I'm thinking about playing a migration campaign, and wanted to know how I should go about it. Should I build up first, or just take my starting army and move to other lands? I want to move the Khwarezmid Empire to the Antioch region, what should the process be?

Maybe, You can buy their settlements, move all your troops and family members to their lands and then sell your old lands to them?

I don't. Since there is no process by which you can recruit your faction troops outside your immediate region, I see no fun in doing so. I don't play a faction just to use the aor troops! As it is, there are too many aor troops in all the armies, you end up fighting many of the same units no matter who you play.

How I traveled my state from Africa to India, some principles.
    - in beginning conquere surrounding provincies in the direction of displacement by the current army
    - nothing building
    - recruiting the cavalry in primarily (this will make the big marches)
    - as infantry, use mercenaries from province in which U are, they will be needed for assault of settlements
    - in settlements that are left behind the way without any garrison, U can destroy all buildings
    - use cavalry for fast attack unprotected (of with weak garrisons) settlements and small enemy armies
    - during the trip, U can survive only using mobile tactics and robbing rich towns on the your way
    - avoid battles with large enemy armies, instead attack small enemy armies and make fast breakthroughs to the unprotected territory
    - don't be afraid to leave the towns, mobility is more important
    - use all possible ways to make money

well said. However, you needn't really fear too much. if you keep decent rep wit folks and just pass through their lands without causing damage, there is a good chance you will arrive at your destination untouched. The AI is very good at keeping relations, and some alliances will also cement your saftey as well if you ally the faction you're passing through. with that said, I would keep a very small garrison in one of your starting regions to keep the populace happy and thus make sure you have a steady income because, as we know, mercs and armies aren't cheap, so I can see merchants becoming pretty key to you,as is establishing trade rights
