So what if my friend were to let me borrow the disk would you be okay with that because according to your definition of the word piracy that also would be considered piracy, how about if I bought the game from him would that satisfy you? Also just because where you live isn’t Canada, Netherlands, Spain, or Panama doesn’t not mean I don’t live in any of those countries. It is completely irrelevant where you live, what is relevant, is what the rules in this forum say. If you thought that my comment had anything to do with pompousness or racism then I am sure you will not understand that either.
Not sure why you assume that I am American, but then you assume that I want to harass you, too.
To come back to the bone of contention: if you have a legal copy of the game then all this discussion wouldn't happen, simple as that.
And yes, if you would 'borrow' the game disc and use it, that wouldn't be legal either in the strictest sense. Read the EULA of the game: the only time you have a legal right to the game, is when you have bought it (when it is your property).

Seem to be having some problems with this submod crashing on, be it apparently only in one particular instance tho, and that's when i'm using the slayers unit in any kind of battle.
The submod works perfectly fine for every race except for the dwarves, and even for them any normal battle works perfectly fine, however as soon as i use a unit of slayers in any of my battles, it'll start to load the battle then CTD me.
I did a clean install of gigs pain free install with this submod installed on top of it when i first noticed this crash, afterwards i uninstalled the entire mod and reinstalled it all again, the crash persists however.
Now i'm not entirely sure it's the slayers that are really the problem but they seem to be the one thing that the crashes i've had to far seem to have in common, i've added the log in case you guys wanna take a look, any kind of fix you can suggest would be great cause while i could just go play another faction i really feel like some good old ork stomping as the dwarves atm.
its their site and their rules kiddo, its pretty obvious why it might not work on cracked games because the files are somewhat different from the original so some files will conflict with each other and crash. this submod works only on Gigantus's installation version and a legal game, it might work on a cracked game but that depends how the game was cracked.
and dont you dare ask me how to make it work or what cracked version works best, you figure it out.

Well considering the only potentially fatal error that you can see is half an hour before the actual crash, what tells me is that I apperently have a random crash issue that just so happens to occur with only one race and of that one race only one unit, very odd.
Since I already tried reinstalling twice now I dunno what else I could possibly do tho. Playing with dwarves worked fine without the submod so guess for now I'll just have to desinstall the submod, thx for the help anyway tho, it's much appreciated.
The only units that could be involved in this sub mod would be those dismounted knights, and they are linked to that secondary weapon error. The texture that is in the last lines of your log are provided by the base mod, don't think that is the actual error.
Yea, I hear you m8, I thought it was strange as well and I'll be the first thing to admit I don't know the first thing about mtw2 modding (did some minor rtw modding back in the days but that's a very long time ago and a different thing altogether even tho it seem rather simular) but I am now entirely convinced that the error is related to the slayer unit, as i made my post yesterday I had a total of 11 crashes up till that point, all of them except for 3 were different battles (those 3 were repeats of the same battles that had already crashed me after loading a save), and the only thing they had in common was the slayers being in my army, in between those 11 crashes I had several battles with some of my none slayer armies and they worked perfectly fine.
To test it further today I did some more extensive testing in costum battles with as many different races/unit makeups as I could possibly muster (did about 20 battles) and they all worked perfectly fine, including a normal makeup dwarf army without slayers, but as soon as I added one unit of Slayers to a dwarf army it CTDed me right after the loading was complete. The system log for that crash being very much alike to the one i posted with the same missing textures and also the same errors in there that you listed.
All in all I'd say whereas I have no clue what exactly is crashing me, I am pretty convinced now that the slayers are involved. And I know it didn't happen yet in my 1.4.4 install as I've had a rather extensive dwarven campaign save there that including plenty of slayer battles as well.
Just as a little update I seem to have fixed my problem.
It seems that the giantslayer texture was in fact responsible for the CTDs i was experiencing. For the normal slayers it was then easy enough as just switching their officer unit to a normal slayer instead of a giantslayer in the EDU which fixed the crash in custom battles at least.
Fixing it for campaign took me a bit longer to figure out since the base gortek and slayer bodyguards also used that texture and as such had to go edit that out in the modeldb which despite any previous experience in actually editing it thanks to some bullheaded stubborness i did eventually manage to change all the giant slayer textures to kingslayers (it's the entire number before every texture entry that tripped me up a couple of times before I finally figured out it had to match the actual length of the entry, oh that and the fact that kingslayers are actually not kingslayers at all but kingslayer which tripped me up as well lol, damn grammar nazi text files hehe) which fixes the battles in my campaign as well despite all my bodyguard slayer units now looking like the slayer king, but hey if it means I get to have a good campaign with the dwarves I'll live with that hehe.
Anyway, since nobody else has reported this yet I'm pretty sure it was something on my end that got screwy with that one texture, possibly a corrupt download or something who knows, either which way thx a lot for the help.
i have tested all the dismounted knights by all factions against most factions so i doubt they are the problem, there seems to be a weird bug with Encarmine and black morr but they behave and look as they should on the strat-map and battle map so i wouldn't be too concerned with them.
and thank you gigantus helping the fellows, these days i hardly have time because of coming mid-term exams and helping other mods.
Dismounted Encarmine doesn't have the ownerships set in the EDU to the factions that can recruit them in the EDB. Should be synchronized - see the top line of the second error batch (there are three or four instances in the log).
Can you please give the complete path and name to that file? It will certainly be easier to fix the texture then to do all the changes that you just went through. Please attach your file as well so that a comparison can be made to determine if it was just your file or if it is the mod's fault.

Hey guys, having a fatal error here. I followed these instructions:
Did that. I ran the Chaos Colors Launcher hit 1/2 then 1, then I click play-cow in the launcher, then immediately I get a pop up saying 'ca_libs, Medieval 2 suffered a fatal error and will now exit.' No log, no nothin'.1) download the sumod
2) extract everything onto the main CoW folder; this causes both data folder to merge
3) i replace all conflicting files with the new ones
4) take my edited EDU & EDB and put it inside the data folder so i replace the old ones.
Any help would be fantastic
