    Default Magna Mundi and Steam

    Hello everyone.
A while back I got EUIII on Steam, and I also happened to get Divine Wind. On Steam, as far as I know there is no way to possible revert to an older expansion since they are treated as updates. I want to try playing a mod, Magna Mundi in particular, but since the last version is for HTTT, well, you see the problem. I actually think Steam is a pretty decent service, but sadly it does have some massive disadvantages when it comes to some things.

Basically, is there ANY way for me to play MM or another mod for a pre-DW version of EUIII without buying the game again?

Unfortunatly, no there is not. Buying retail / Gamersgate copies would allow you to revert back, but Steam does not since it classifies all the expansions as "DLC" and will auto-install all of them.

In the future though, the Steam copy works fine outside Steam's directory. If for whatever reason another expansion was released, you could copy the entire game directory somewhere else then buy the expansion for the Steam copy. You could then have a version running DW and a verison running something else.

Thanks, I decided to try MEIOU, using it outside of Steam solved an issue that cropped up. I wanted to try MM, but since they're making their own game I will probably check that out when it gets released.
