[AWARD] Loincloth for Okmin

The Asterix loincloth medal is awarded by the curia to members that demonstrated purity of mind and spirit on the Total War Center forums in pursuit of sense of humour and good times for all members. A member of any Rank is eligible to receive an Asterix Loincloth award, but must also meet the criteria to become a Citizen. His nomination must also be seconded by an elected member of the Consilium de Civitate.

I wish to nominate Okmin for the Loincloth.

Also, I have known Okmin since I got active here. I used to lurk around his mod forum providing some small information.
Later, I worked with him on several occasions. From that, I can conclude this, Okmin is one of few members blessed with patience, etiquette, and humor. Never had I known him to post angry or hurtful remarks. Plus his sense of humor also was quite good, after Omni, that is.

Therefore, I think, he should be conferred this honor.

I hate to say this, since I like Okmin and think he's a good guy, (which is why I'm sure he'll understand) but I have to oppose this.

My reasoning's quite simple. Just take a look at the list of people with the award. Currently there's only 12 people out of over a 130,000 members:

I agree with Bolkonsky, I know Okmin since my first times in the forum, every mod I've done he did it with me, still as Bolkonsky said there are only 12 members with this award and Okmin doesn't yet reach their level (in time I mean), In a year or so I'll be the first supporting this but for now is a oppose. Sorry man

Well.... first loincloth I didn't nominate myself... I was approached about him to be fair, I was standing by and seeing the lad, I think .Mitch. might have a point... the loincloth club is about freedom of spirit, humour, and lightness on these forums beyond an exceptional level...

Take the current incumbents (easy to spot because of their excentric atire and tantric presence) if he fits he should get it... but please make sure that you understand the weight of this award and the fact that someone like Simetrical, a Divus beyond doubt for instance, would not be the right candidate for.

Okmin himself should decline this. Good lad no doubt but he has a lot to learn and bear on certain occasions to become worthy enough for an Asterix's Loincloth.

This essentially. Okmin is a good guy, but does he fit into the 'club', so to speak, of members who cover up? Perhaps in time, but not yet.

I've been looking through Okmin's post history to find some material.

One small thing, however - why is Geronimo listed as a supporter? He hasn't posted in the thread to affirm his support or otherwise.

I'm afraid I've never seen anything that has struck me as deserving this from Okmin. There are a handful of people I can think of who deserve this award, but Okmin isn't a name that comes to mind at all; I'm just not familiar with what he posts.

Okmin. He's as nice a guy as any and I'll put myself down to support this, though, sadly, with opposition these things don't usually go ahead. I haven't seen him be anything but pleasant, which is good enough for me. He's been around, perhaps not involved with the site as much as the award's most recent recipient, but has posted as much and just as amiably. Maybe not the funniest member, but then it's hard to be humorous online and I don't think many members on TWC actually tell good 'uns, and many of them wouldn't fit the bill asking for the good times to be for "all members"...

I judge him worthy

and wish him all the best, despite high likelihood of this thread being closed soon

did some digging myself on his posts but yes he is a good person but doesn't really fit the "pursuit of sense of humour and good times for all members" part maybe some links would enlighten us.

As has been said, nice guy, but not the kind of person I would think fits the Loincloth and it's very specific membership club, with all due respect of course.

Like stated, I dont know his posting style and stuff, nor did I hear anything about it...some digging didn't really change that, so just some good links as examples and stuff - or more like many links
