Im new to this mod and this subforum, and it all seems a little overwhelming, with all the different versions floating around

All I want is a BI-style "grand campaign" mod featuring as much of europe and the middle east as possible, with plenty of factions and that sort of stuff. Does this mod offer a campaign like that ?

INVASIO BARBARORVM : FLAGELLVM DEI , was the "original" in the series. It starts in 410 AD with Goths ravaging central Italy.

The Fall of Rome (FoR) (BI) is closest in concept and period to the original BI.

I recommend you try the SAI, it offers all that you want, as well as several 'versions' of campaign. Have a try at running the whole empire.
