Default ZoC bug with disembarking units?

Did a research but could not find a post related to this bug.

France troops came by sea to rescue their spanish allies. They want to attack the milanese who are sieging a fort with some castilian troops inside, but the shoreline has been severely fortified by the italians. As you can see in pic #1, the milanese ZoC is overwhelming: any unit coming from mainland would have been stopped, but disembarking units found no problem walking freely through all ZoC they fancied.

I don't think this is a bug mate. I think thats just how the game works and M2TW is poorly designed in a few area's. The only thing I modded which could possibly have anything to do with this is increasing naval movement points. This gives units aboard ships extra movement points than they would normally get travelling across land. But this would not seem to explain how that army could move through those red area's as if they wern't their.

I think you're right. In looking at the pics, they tell a a story that, in a way, makes sense.
    I'll attempt to explain:

    1. In the first pic the Milanese have many overlapping Zones of Control. Their General, in particular, shares control squares with the forts. He does, however, control his Southeastern square all by his little lonesome. This is key.
    2. Upon landing, the French General disembarks into a fort's ZoC. Game mechanics, however, state he can move.
    3. He proceeds inland through Milanese zones which, through game mechanics, are still represented by the original fort he was given the disembarkation go-ahead to go past. Though two of these zones are doubly controlled by the Milanese General, game mechanics tell the French forces that they belong to the fort they have already been given disembarkation permission to bypass.
    4. In the third pic, the French General is only stopped when his forces comes in contact with a new opposing force, this being the Milanese General's SE ZoC.
    5. In the end, the game mechanics seem to have worked exactly as they should.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Every time I venture from New Orleans,
I get the sensation of leaving Oz and landing on Kansas.

I have made a test with Vanilla and yes, it's working that way. Poor milanese player, he spent 7.500 fl for nothing!
