    Icon7 Migration Campaign

I'm about to start a campaign with Armenia and immidiately move to Byzantium. Start my empire in the east of Greece.
Anybody has played a migration campaign before? Maybe any nice suggestions?

    Thanks

Rome is untakable with just a few units of armored hoplites.

Most ridiculous thing I've ever done was try to colonise britannia with Parthia. It got too hard after I gave up my original cities to the selucids, though, and I gave up.

I migrated with Seleucids to Brits. I did Island-Hopping. the Tourist route is Salamis -> Rhodes -> Crete -> Sicily -> Corsica -> Palma or like that -> Tourist stop in between spain and Gaul -> Brittannia.

Gets you at war with half the factions so it is a lot of fun. kept all the islands to see a bunch of fustrated factions fail to beat militia hoplite garrisons with their best armies.

I also did a seleucid to brits campaign to do a turtle campaign to see who would win the civil war, but now its 35 AD and they havent even started the civil war. So now I attacked and have Condate Redonum, Lemonum and Alesia with the same stack.

I see the concept of constructive criticism is wasted on you if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all!

RTR Illyrians to Italy (to Umbria to be exactly)... so not really a migration over a great distance. Bear in mind that a Migration costs a lot of money and you must keep at least one of your original settlements until you conquer a new one at your target location. Once you arrive, the early years can be pretty tough depending on where you ended up. I think going to Byzantium will give you an action-packed campaign against Thrace, Macedon and Pontus, and possibly the greeks as well.

Carthage to Nile, turtle, then from the Nile to Italy, then to Britannia with my armies going over land to the English Channel, while ships went around. That was a very fun campaign. Seleucids survived and became the superpower of the East (I gave them lots of money. Had to keep my treasury down. Bribed their armies when they later attacked me), the Julii and Brutii went whack after I took Rome. I believe Rome changed hands 4 times before the Brutii finally pushed the Julii out of Italy, but then the Scipii came up and somehow destroyed the Brutii, eventually winning the Civil War.

I did try to migrate back to Carthage again, but the Scipii had the Med on lockdown. I couldn't even get from Spain to Africa!

I was once an Angel of Total War Heaven, but gave up my wings for a life on the sea of battle.

A few years ago (yeah, it's been a long time since I played) I managed Armenia --> Brittania. Ended up destroying most of europe and got bored quite quickly

I started a migration campaign as Thrace one time. I packed all my men off onto boats and headed to Carthage, sacking Carthage and the city south of it.

The important thing is to keep your cities at home taxed high enough to be able to afford the mass migration. Taking Carthage wasn't too difficult and it's a big enough city that it's easy enough to retrain units quickly and build higher-tier buildings.

Pretty sure I got gangbanged by Scipii though.

rtr as illyria to the british isles. greece couldn't decide whether they wanted to be at war with me, but macedon, thrace, germans, rome, and carthage really did, so i send a fleet up there. it took three tries before i actually colonized the damn place. not long after the swarms of enemies sacked my mainland cities leaving me with every island in the game +the british isles. i chose to expand from there into germany...
