Default City Recruitment and "a New Era Begins"

First off, I love this mod. Also, I am not using any other sub-mod or anything, just SS6.4, now in cities (playing as Denmark), even fully upgraded i can only recruit Urban Spear Militia, Crossbowmen, and Merchant Cavalry (even large cities). Also, when the "a New Era Begins" notification popped up (playing Late Era) i accidentally deleted it before i could read it, but no new units seem to be recruitable for me even in my citadel. Any help?

Well, to be honest, I never played a SS campaign long enough for any of the important events (like the "New Era") to pop (on a sidenote, I play 2tpy, and often start new campaigns). However, I believe that after the "New Era" event you SHOULD get access to new units. It shouldn`t matter whetether did you delete the message or not.

I would suggest to simply wait for a dozen turns or so.

Yes, and then you get the greatest unit ever - Sword Staff militia. And then, you get the even betterer unit - handgunners.

It's like you get front line rape followed by fear causing front line rape. It's delicious.

Hi, could someone be so kind as to inform me when this event occurs?

    Thanks in advance

You have to end the turn, after getting the message about new eras, to be able to recruit new units. Remember you are playing with real-recruitment (RR) on (at least that's what it looks like), which means some units will only become available very late.
