i am new to ss6.4 (i used to play 6.3)
and i need to know how
-to make a faction to be excomunicated, because i am a catholic faction and i want to conquer all their regions less one

-how to make a faction to be your vassal ?

and when a faction trespass your territory (the faction is in war with you) and you attack it do you lose papal favor ? because i lost 2 crosses when venice besieged one of my cities and i attacked them...

well, i can only say the obvious on the matter...
1° they must atack other catholic factions, if they arent doing so, u may ally with them, get their army and 1 of ur to enter the zone of control of a third faction army, and attack... ur "allys" automatically joins u, and declare war... this will make them lose papal favor if im not wrong...

2° get them very weak, and i mean it! 1 region with ur full stack close to it, send diplomat, and they wont decline, at least in here. thats not nescessary, but certain to work, just letting the weak with 2 3 regions work too... however, make sure they still have a family member there, or u will destroy them...

3° thats weird, and i cant say for sure...


btw, u should search more for these frequent questions on internet, because they are common, and prbly already better answered in this forum... they also arent much specific for this mod to post here (not much scripting in these areas as far im aware), vanilla section would ve worked for them too...

To make a someone your vassal, the best way is take what you want from them (or more) then start sending diplomats with money. You need to raise their opinion of you. The Byzantines almost never become my vassal if they are angry, even if I have an army at their capital and they only have one province. So I raise their opinion of me before I ask them to become a vassal.

Have a question too. Since Rome im playing total war and most of the time i didnt want to make my enemies to vassals.

I tried it out once. But it seems buggy to me since someone attacked my vassal but i wasnt automatically at war with the attacker. Can someone confirm that bug, is there a fix or have i to live with it?

Tried with Stainless Steel 6.4 if i remember right.

To the topic: Conquer the enemy till the last region and gift him enough money.
I recommend to gift a lot of money to the pope in order to avoid getting excommunicated all the time.
