Icon3 So I read the description and im interested...

Im on dial up and I have limited space on the memory sticks I send my lady friend to get mods on, so im being careful about what mods I get

Just how awesome is this mod? I love that it has Ireland in it, im insane about Ireland. Are there new units for all factions? Have gunpowderless factions been given gunpowder? Are there emergent factions? Is the campaign map as big as Stainless Steel's?

    Thanks for any help

To answer your questions in order:

    1) Yes,
    2) Not sure. I know the Romans still only get the flamethrower guys, buy I've not even played that far with every faction yet, so IDK.
    2) No, which is a shame.
    3) I think this one is sitting at ~200 territories right now. Geographically, it covers everything from the west shore of the Caspian sea (and south towards the Tigris River and Baghdad), to the edge of Brazil in the west, and then from the south edges of Scandinavia down to Timbuktu. SS's may be bigger yet, but ours is still huge.

Also worth mentioning-- awesome scripts to make the AI almost seem like a real challenge (field garrisons and financial support, among others) make this the most challenging mod out there, AFAIK. Which is always good. Just be careful with the install-- it's almost as much data as the vanilla game, which may make it hard to transmit via flash drive.

I agree, DLV 6.2 with BB, by Taiji, is definately the most challenging mod out there. Like Hidden Sage mentioned, there are several scripts active to help the AI (money and garrison scripts for example) and to give you some limitations (army limit and extra costs spring to mind).

I have been playing for quite some years now and not a lot of other mods, if any, can offer or have offered me the same experience as DLV has, WITH BB ofcourse.

Sounds pretty good! So like, do the factions have all new units, or are some just added?

As far as I know, yes. I'd only played vanilla as Venice, France, and Byzantium before I got to this mod (and I only ever got very far as France), but there's something new and interesting for all of those for sure. The only faction that doesn't seem significantly different to me is Scotland, but I don't use them, so I may be mistaken (Scots lack for cavalry. my combat strategies depend a LOT on cavalry).
