    Default Restarting Battles

Do you find it unacceptable to restart a battle if it isn't going the way you'd hoped? I've been doing that a little bit lately, but I feel it's unfair to use it till I'm satisfied with the outcome. I'm going to stop doing that and if I up then too bad, but I'd like to know what other people think.

Depends. I don't see the harm in it, however I don't like losing to much time over one battle either

I dont restart battles as I consider it cheating. However you are free to play the game in whatever manner you see fit. I think you might find it enjoyable to accept the loss Makes the game less monotonous. Plus revenge is sweet

I only do it if the loss is completely unacceptable to me. Losing major cities and such, even then I will take the loss if I can SOMEHOW recover from it

I only do it if I forgot something major during deployment... like leaving a ram on the wrong side of a city or deploying back on a hill but forgetting some infantry deployed right at the front of the battlefield. Completely using a battle is fairly infrequent so its interesting to deal with the aftermath. More often I simply make a small mistake and have higher casualties than necessary.

I'd always restart when my general died, I figured I'd really need him in the long run.

Yea not to often in SS, i dont mind losing a city or something, losing a really good general could make me restart. I dont mind taking a loss every now and again as if i lose its normally because the odds are so against me i just cant win so no point restarting.

I don't ever restart battles. Yes sometimes it can be frustrating when the dumb ai does something they shouldn't, but overall it improves the game play if you don't restart your battles.

If you did restart your battles you would never lose, and where is the fun in that?

only if i played worse then the autoresolve... (rare, but happens)

this should be a poll, it would be good to vote about it...

I restart if it's really important or one of those battles in which everything that could go wrong does...but sometimes I'll let it slide if I take out so many enemies that I can quickly mop them up later (examples below)

This one was just two units of cavalry coming to reinforce my forces sieging Damascus getting ambushed by some brigands (I like how rebels actually attack you in SS, even though it screwed over poor Captain Guy here)

And this was just me being a bit impetuous (The heir was the sole survivor of the battle)

I do it but I feel bad about it. But I can't endure suffering a shameful defeat because of one or two small tactical errors...
