so after the Frey wedding BS i have lost all drive to read ASOIF, when robb was around everything was interesting and there was an element of armies sweeping down on kings landing and etc... but now? the lannister lord is dead, robb is dead, stannis is doing something up north, davos is 'apparently dead', rickon has disappeared and bran is nowhere to be seen. meanwhile brienne is trying to find sansa and we know where she is and targaryan girl is no where to be seen either...oh and i almost forgot that Arya has basically become a peasent girl selling sea food.

now here is a question to you people who have read the other 50% of feast of crows and dance of dragons, without giving me any spoilers, will things get better for the starks? who am i suppose to cheer on now that robb is dead? is Carsei the only 'villain' left? i really don't see her surviving long with stupid decisions left and right...
the book has become boring to me now that virtually all the main characters are dead or are no longer POV.

The problem is that Storm of Swords is so ridiculously good it's hard for George to keep up that quality. Also the War of Five Kings is essentially over, so the series looks to other events now. Stick with it!

Since I was rooting for the Lannisters and Greyjoys I never found myself lacking motivation to see what will happen next. But I do understand the problem for pro-Starks.

I've seen the complaint quite many times that AFFC is quite slow and doesn't cover a lot of ground, and while I personally didn't mind, I can see the merit in the complaint. The series has definitely moved on from the War of the Five Kings, but I'd still recommend you stick with it, ADWD reintroduces a lot of the POV characters left out in AFFC and is, in my humble opinion, quite brilliant. I've never quite understood the whole "supporting X house" thing, after AGoT I haven't really rooted for any House in particular, though I do love the whole otherworldly mystical vibe around Houses like Targaryen and Dayne.

I can only agree. I need to put the book down for around two or three hours and it takes two days to finnish a Cersei chapter. They are so ridiculously boring. I mean the is a real dimwit. Real. She so desperately wants to be like her father, but all she does are stupid decisions based on her emotions. I mean... what the ? She is turning into an Aerys just with no beard and something different between her legs. I would even call Aerys better, because it says, that when he was "younger" he was still sane and "good". And Cersei?? Jesus, I hate those chapters and Im just thinking to quit this "reread thing" and skip towards ADWD (because I wanted to read AFFC again before I read it).

Protip: If you ever plan on reading a book, playing a game, or watching a movie, never, ever go on its wiki until you have finished the series. EVER. Wookiepedia spoiled half of KOTOR for me as well (both who you are and that thing with Bastila).
