Default I failed, a little help?

I was looking to making RTW a little more fun, so I downloaded and installed the mods for force diplomacy, and AI honors alliance.

I didn't backup the files, because I decided I'm awesome and never want to remove them.

Reinstalling is not possible, I lost my old Rome Total War discs, and refuse to use illegal means to reinstall.

So I was wondering if anyone could upload clean 1.5v

I would gladly help you, but I'm wondering if I have XGM installed the files are still considered "clean" ?
also I found descr_cursor_actions.txt and export_descr_advice.txt but I couldn't find cursor_action_tooltips.txt and export_advice.txt; can you please tell me where is their location ?

oh, I just found out that the descr.txt files are different for XGM, so I have the "clean" files for vanilla

I'm sorry for not posting the locations, I wasn't thinking.

    Activision\Rome - Total War\Data\descr_cursor_actions.txt
    Activision\Rome - Total War\Data\text\cursor_action_tooltips.txt
    Activision\Rome - Total War\Data\export_descr_advice.txt
    Activision\Rome - Total War\Data\text\export_advice.txt

    Private message is fine.

@Max, I've had only a few hours on the computer a week lately, so I thought it'd be better to just install and play. It never worried me I might not like it. That was likely an idiotic move...

Hypothetically, would it be illegal? You had bought the cd, which is a lifetime software agreement. As long as you purchased the CD, there is no theft involved.

Well i got experience with mods so i could have helped with eventual problems. You gotta remember that i was an Alpha Tester for Lord Of The Rings Total War, and that i helped Galvanized Iron find the bugs in the Roma Surrectum 2 MP, for which they did not even accredit me. Mightve been because every battle desynchronized so i got no idea what the guys i was testing it with saw. As far as i am concerned the fact that i convinced them to make those armor piercing slingers less lethal is a reason to thank me. those slingers had AP. if you had 6 units with Gold attack upgrades concentrating fire on anything it was like Long Ranged Head Hurlers. the horror. I have also done actual modding on Fallout 3 which is currently locked into a trench warfare thing between the Emperor's Space Marines, Arachnids from Starship troopers, Tau, Orks, Chaos Daemons and a horde of of Mimes and clowns while GNR plays Price of a Mile by Sabaton. Suffer not the clown to live. my point is that if they havent helped u out before i get back from vacation on the 13th i will help u out. Ill also give you all me replays n to compensate for your loss.

You purchased a LIMITED lifetime software agreement. I do agree, I HYPOTHETICALLY bought the game 3 times because my HYPOTHETICAL disks broke or my HYPOTHETICAL CD key expired. Aint no one gonna HYPOTHETICALLY tell me i cant HYPOTHETICALLY crack the exe to spare my HYPOTHETICAL disk from HYPOTHETICAL wear and tear. Hypothetically ofcourse.

Wrong. HYPOTHETICALLY I could put the CD in an airtight case and HYPOTHETICALLY keep it for 3 millennia perfectly legally,

Limitations on exclusive rights: Computer programs (a) Making of Additional Copy or Adaptation by Owner of Copy. — Notwithstanding the provisions of section 106, it is not an infringement for the owner of a copy of a computer program to make or authorize the making of another copy or adaptation of that computer program provided: (1) that such a new copy or adaptation is created as an essential step in the utilization of the computer program in conjunction with a machine and that it is used in no other manner, or (2) that such new copy or adaptation is for archival purposes only and that all archival copies are destroyed in the event that continued possession of the computer program should cease to be rightful.
The case could be made that because the CD was lost the no-cd crack is created as an essential step into the utilization of the computer program in conjunction with a machine.

HYPOTHETICLY saving your CD for 3 millenia does not make a no cd crack legal you wont even live 3 centuries for one so its pointless.

    .

I need that no-cd crack because it is an essential step in the utilization of the computer program in conjunction with a machine as the CD is lost.
