    Default removeing quick battle option

Since I added my new culture quick battle gets CTD's. How can I remove the "quick battle" option? Thanks in advance

Why not fix the new culture instead? You obviously added it incorrectly, you probably didn't add one of the entries necessary for quick battles in the text folder.

Your probebly right. But I can't find where the problem is. I've searched through the entire game folder trying to find an instance of where the original cultures are listed/named and where mine isn't. I can't find any. I do have one question about the tutorial on how to add a culture.

STEP 8 - Adding the Tags and Text

Culture tags and their on-screen name appear in both the bi data\text\expanded_bi.txt and menu_english.txt. Add
around line 362 (you will see the other entries for cultures) in the latter file, and add around line 56 in the former file; if you like you can go through this file and change factional instances of lombardi to Chinese but, as pertaining to these, do not change the name in the tag (the one in the curly brackets).

There should be some tabs between the tag and the name, just follow the format of the other entries in the files.

it says that there should be entries for the cultures in "menu_english.txt" But I can't find any. Even in the original file????? Am I missing something? I'm modding BI. If I search for say hun or nomad there. Well neither is.

Also the thing is that in all the years I've played this game. I've only tried this "feature" a couple of times and didn't have any use for it. Sub rosa remove it in Amazon total war. I wish I knew how she did it.

    You edit rome.lnt in data/menu.

Thanks, I'll look for it. I did get custom battles to work. I removed/replaced the files I changed and did it all again. Now I'll just remove it.

Look up UI id for the "Quick Battles" string in text\menu_english.txt, then find the UI_piece block containing that id in menu\Rome.lnt and remove it.

Thanks that did it. It left a hole so I changed the coordinates for the "historical battles" button to move it up.
