Well, the question requires no explaining, so who is the best rock guitarist of all time?
Btw, if too many people vote other and offer more options I (or someone else) could start another thread including a more "definitive" list.

I voted for Hendrix just for the fact that he played righty guitar as a lefty. Its a hard question though because some are better at different styles. Like Richards is great at bluesy riffs while Hendrix is better at the psychadelic stuff.

Grrrr, I want a multiple option poll!
Voted Jimmy Page though, can't beat Led Zeppelin at all, Immigrant Song, Kashmir, Whole Lotta Love, Celebration Day, Stairway to Heaven, I think that you get the picture....![]()
Hendrix(All along the Watchtower)
Gilmour(Comfortably Numb, Wish you were here, Money)
and Clapton(Layla!)
come a close second though!![]()
Slash

voted Jimmy Page as I love even his non-Zeppelin work. EC close second.

Assuming it's blues based rock, I can't go much on skill so by sound I'll pick Gilmour, he just has a bit more flare than the rest.Originally Posted by Squeakus Maximus
