    Default SPQR 8.0

I started a new campaing with the seleucid but I think I've a problems with the units. I can only use:
    the levy pikemen
    the phalanx pikemen
    the companions calvary
    the war elephants
    the armoured elephants

I can't use the silver shield legionaries, the silver shield pikemen, the cataphracts.

Why I cannot use those troops? There's a problem with the mod or it's normal?

This mod is tailored made for playing the Roman faction. Now im not sure if not being able to recruit those units are made on purpose or are just not worried about. If you would like to play other factions I would advise you to choose a different Rome Total War mod.

Elite units are available after Marian Reforms, and it seems impossible for Rome controlled by AI.

It's not easy even for some humans to achieve the reforms

It is impossible for the IA to achieve anything because other factions get a lot of bonuses on there units, income, population and probably a lot more.

Don't forget this mod is created to play as Romans and give you a challenge while playing them.

I had a problem while playing the game and I don't know if it went away because I haven't played the game since but when I killed Hannibal the game crashed and then when I killed him again, immiediatley in the campaign, everything was covered in snow (even the desert) and rivers had a grey outline around them. I don't know if its because I killed Hannibal or because the year is 200 BC. I tried doing another turn but then SPQR attacked me and the snow didn't dissapear. Would welcome any help or advice.

Did you play an other mod before playing SPQR?

How do you reduce the hitpoints of all the units in the game to the original Rome?

You don't, the game is perfectly balanced.

You 'll need to go to the workshop and find out how to mod the game. This isn't the place for this kind of questions.
