Gaming Headset Question
Hi,
I am currently looking at buying the Tritton X180 gaming headset to use for my PC and PS3.
i know how to easily connect it to my PC, but it seems to use the headset on the PS3 you need a TV with AV ports on it, well i play my PS3 using my PC monitor and it only has a HDMI port and the port for PC hook up and a green port to allow you to hear audio from my PC, my monitor is the Hanspree XMS : (http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Displ...roductId=33071)
Is there any way to use this headset with my PS3 and still play it through HDMI on this monitor?
And how do I set it up?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Gaming Headset Question
Does anyone have any ideas or have used the Tritton X180's with a TV/Monitor using HDMI?

Re: Gaming Headset Question
This headset is confusing, on the page it says its a standard 3.5mm connection(which would mean there is no way to plug it into the PS3) but it says it has a detachable USB microphone for PS3 use. Basically there is no way to output sound to the headset unless it comes with a special adapter for the PS3 like Turtle beach headsets for the Xbox. Also if your monitor has a headphone jack(green 3.5mm jack) it may route the sound from the HDMI to the headphone buts its no guarantee.

Re: Gaming Headset Question
Thanks, it should connect to the ps3 as it says it is compatible, i think i might need to buy a HDMI to female RCA cable to make it work.
