Incomplete installation Steam Error 55

Hi all
If you're having this problem and you're running Avast, try switching it off - relaunch Shogun2 and the installation will then proceed beyond the 1% - it did for me at least.

So , i did not have Avast and disabling protection did not fix it for me. It was driving me crazy since i couldn't find any solution and Shogun 2 was the only affected game. After some considerable digging around i did however find this.

I followed the second part of the guide and that fixed the problem for me. .
