After having spend the better part of two days to get the full version of this great mod working I could feel for lesser mortals without my extensive knowledge of modding. So I decided to make life a bit easier and created this installation package. Hopefully it will attract more people to this mod. Please note that changes to files are minimal (corrected formatting and size changes) and do not change the game play in any way at all.
The installer has to be in two parts because more then 2GB size is not supported by this program.
Recommendations:
If you are having an old graphic card or experience lag in siege battles try out this 'add-on' of mine: Creating a World - Reduced City Textures, it reduces the size of the original building textures - custom building textures are already reduced in my game installation. See 'work done'.
Important:
Both installers will appear to be frozen at the beginning for a few minutes due to some huge files being installed (animations pack and sound pack respectively).
DO NOT cancel the installation unless you get an error message!

Reason: download for torrent file
any chance of making a torrent (full english) version (unzip into Med2TW mods folder...no installer...no teutonic folder-renaming etc) in reduced size ?
- What renaming are you talking about? This is a straight forward installation.
- If you want to install for Steam, simply follow the steps as instructed in the link for the Steam installation.
- I am on a dial up connection, pain in the neck to upload anything.
- Never created a torrent, but would be grateful for a link that teaches how and a legitimate torrent site where I can upload.
i just downloaded that torrent i found ,cause all the other "methods" (and there are many enough to get you confused...) were "funny"...others talked about renaming your file into teutonic or something others this other that...while this one torrent version (i think it was from red dwarf ?) didn't need any installation at all ...you just unzip the downloaded file into med2tw mods folder and you're good to go (after creating a shortcut and deleting 3 water-related files..and adding a fix)
sorry if i brought my confusion in your topic
unfortunately i never created a torrent either...but Utorrent (also called μ torrent) is the best torrent-client there is... http://www.utorrent.com/
i think it would be nice ,if someone just created a torrent (out of your reduced junkfiles version) -unzip & play ,that included
-the delete of the water files
-and the fix
maybe also
-ninja's expanded english voice mod and why not some other sub mod (like that one that gives you extra factions for custom battles...i think tomb kings?)
so that one should jsut create the shortcut

Well, my upload is the working version, following all the instructions on the Russian website (confusing as they might be).
I guess you are referring to this part in the Russian Installation Guide:
After install 1.4/4
1) delete folder BETTER_WATER and files descr_water, descr_water_effects, descr_water_interaction_effects
2) delete Call_of_Warhammer\data\world\maps\base folder
3) Copypast this file to your 144 data folder http://www.twcenter.net/forums/attachment....mp;d=1298446255
I have applied that instruction.
Further modifications of the mod were not planned by me, I was just interested in a proper working copy of version 1.4.4 - and so far I have not had a single crash (playing the Kislev faction and stemming the tide of 'undivided chaos').
ok..i'll delete my current folder and give it a try...
some questions...
1.....by "updating the lang installer" do you mean apply just the attached file ,at the bottom of your "cow 1.4.4. installer for multiple languages" ? (lang pack 2.02)
2.....what version of "english voice mod" are you having included ? gallopers maybe ?
1. Correct, that attachment contains the automated installer for the language installation - it will get you to the latest version of the language installer (text, no voice - sorry). It is necessary as there was an error in the initial version that comes with this installation package. It's small - 5.3MB.
2. As I said: no voice, 'just' all the text you could want in 6 different languages.
Edit: I just checked about creating a torrent - I have a dynamic IP which means it will not be possible.

and i will be awaitng for a torrent
That certainly wasn't my first work (check the links in the sig), thanks anyhow.
Torrent is not possible for me as I have a dynamic IP. Feel free to create one from the files above and I will happily link it here.
Hey Gigantus, part one installs fine but at the start of part 2 i get a music.dat file is corrupt or unreadable error and i am forced to abort installation.

My files work fine.
Make sure that all of the .D0# files have the same exact name as your .exe's (i.e "Call of Warhammer 1.4.4 - Part2.exe" and "Call of Warhammer 1.4.4 - Part2.D01" or "Call_of_Warhammer_1.4.4_-_Part1.exe" and "Call_of_Warhammer_1.4.4_-_Part1.D01")
If that doesn't work, re-download the .exe file again.

Thanks THP can't believe i didn't check the file names . Didn't notice the mirrored links were named differently.

Thank you very much Holy Pilgrim, that solved my I-cant-install-it problem. I also didnt notice the different file names. I have downloaded it several times and received an error message every time
