how can i recruit elephants in the west and how do i use the cheat oilphant cis ive used it in romeshell and it wont work

Elephants..in the west?

The only way that would be possible was if you modded it so that elephants were a resource in the west. And concerning the oliphant cheat, here is something:

hit ~. Type Oliphaunt. make sure you got the spelling right, if you didn't it should give an error message.

Make sure you have an army selected on the campaign map.

You will have a unit of Yubseb Elephants. They are huge and have 10 cretian archers on thier backs.

Make sure you don't have BI installed, I don't know if the cheat works then.

Make sure your army stack didn't have 20 units to begin with, I don't know if that would make a difference.

i dont think you can have mods too because the modders deleted the models of the unit

as quoted above:
1) select a city or army first
2) hit ~
3) type oliphaunt. the spelling has to be right

done!

and it does work on rome vanilla 1.5

If your british you will need the ` key to bring up the console, then type oliphaunt

does that army have to have elephaunts and if it does will it work for other elephaunts

No, you can select any army or settlement and enter the cheat to get the cheat oliphaunts, and unless you mod the game you cannot get elephants outaide of provinces with the elephant rescource.
