Game lags

I am having some trouble playing this mod. It lags severely on the campaign and battle maps. I have read the how to make Eb run faster in the FAQ thread and I have implemented their recommendations, but it still lags.

NVIDIA Geforce 9600M GT
Intel Core2 Duo CPU 2.1 GHZ
and 4 GB of RAM

You CPU is a little slow for EB (as it maxes out the possibilities of RTW's engine), so this is the bottleneck IMO.

Disable AA, all shadows, protection software while playing, defrag your HD. Disable compatibility modes and run the game as admin if using Vista/Win7.
Yes, EB runs slower than MTW2.
