Republicans have called for a shakeup of staff in an effort to help improve Bush's abysmal poll numbers. Of course, as long as he has cruddy policies, no staff change is gonna create a magical turn-around.

Josh Bolten, who replaces Card, has the dubious distinction of being director of the Office of Management and Budget during a time when the Fedral deficit increased by $1.8 trillion.
