Default Does anyone else have problems with Flash Player 10?

Videos on my computer have been running painfully choppy and stutter-y for months now and the problem stumped me. I tried a bunch of stuff to fix it but nothing worked. I finally decided to downgrade to flash player 9 and the problem was fixed immediately.

What's the deal, does anybody know?

I use FP 10 and it works fine for me. Chrome comes with an integrated one and updates them if a FP update is available.
And for your problem did you try toggling on\off the hardware acceleration in your FP settings ("right click>settings" on any flv video, youtube for e.g.)?

RZZZA - online videos or dvds?

Firefox had a problem with on-line embedded flash vids (no sound) but newest versions V5 / v6 have solved the problem.

nah, nothing works. I tried different versions of Flash player 10 but all of them result in choppy videos. Its mostly youtube videos, but its also vimeo videos and any videos that use flash basically. I cant turn the HD quality up anything past 360p because it just becomes a slideshow.

I don't see any option to disable hardware acceleration when I right click on the video. I do use firefox but I always keep everything up to date with firefox and flash. At least I used to until I figured out that using flash player 9 results in smoother & faster playing videos for me.

    I'm stumped

Read this bro it might help on the H.acceleration thingy.
If I have display problems with Flash Player, what should I do?
-If you have display problems with Flash Player, such as poor picture quality or slow display times, deselect Enable Hardware Acceleration in the Display panel. This should eliminate hardware or driver compatibility problems with Flash Player. Flash Player then uses software to scale and display the content.
