    Default A "kingdom.exe" bug

    Hi everybody.

First, sorry if i'm not in the good place and second, sorry for my bad english, but i start to loose any hope to play a day.

I've downloaded CoW, extracted it and did all the necessary modifications, but when i try to launch the game, i've an error window about a "kingdom.exe" unexistant.

Somebody have a solution please ? Where could be this "kindom.exe" ?

LUULZ? like in your medieval 2 folder? You do have kingdoms installed, right?

    First:
You need the Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms expansion ontop of your regular Medieval II Total War game installed.

    Second:
Make sure you have extracted everything in the exact place.
    Example: C:\Games\Medieval II Total War\mods\Call_of_Warhammer\

That is my installation path. Check yours if the Call_of_Warhammer folder is in your mods folder named exactly alike. ( Mostly when it cannot find the kingdoms.exe file is because the file location is wrong and it searches in a diffrent folder where the Kingdoms.exe file is not present. )

    Third:
Your "Kingdom.exe" file should be in your Medieval II Total War folder. If it's not, then you probably didn't install the Kingdoms expansion. If you did install it, then I suggest you either:
    1. Reinstall the entire game.
    2. Find the Kingdoms.exe file manually on your CD/DVD.

And Zax, you're not very helpful with your witty-comment. Not everyone is an all-knowing spaghetti monster.

    Good luck.

I had this problem and the solution is in your mods folder there is a folder called"call of warhammer 1.4.4" and if you open that folder you will have another folder in it "call of warhammer" right click on this one and either copy or if your brave cut, then click back one folder and paste you will now have two cow folders one with the "cow+version" and one with just "cow" now click on your shortcut and see if it run's,it's because there is one folder to far in the path, please do not touch the EXE or you will have to reinstall

It's a matter of the path in the CFG file and the BAT file. If these files are not in the mods\CoW folder then they will point to a non existing directory.
