help with skin and map pack
i cant figure out how to install bells skin and map pack if some one can fix it ill rep good luck
1) Locate your Rome Total War directory. Examples:
- The Creative Assembly
C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War
- Activision
C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War
- Steam
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\rome total war gold
2) (Optional) Backup the following 3 txt files in your directory's "Data" file.
- custom_locations.txt
- descr_model_battle.txt
- descr_sm_factions.txt
- 4 old Spartan skin CAS ("Data\unit_models")
*I recommend this step for an easy uninstall of changes! Don't cry if you don't backup!
*Uninstalling? Return those backups, overwriting the mod files. The rest becomes useless.
3) Now, in this mod folder, you will find a "Data" folder with this README. Copy it!
4) Paste in your directory, the same place as your game's "Data" folder.
5) You probably will be prompted on overwriting files; accept!
*Vista/Windows7 users may need to visit the UAC to change permissions.
*Do not ask me technical support questions on your OS! I don't use it! Search online!
6) (Optional) If you wish Alexander the Great's skin too, now follow these steps:
a) In this mod folder, you will find an "Alexander (Optional)" folder. Open it.
b) Within this folder is yet another "Data" folder. Now copy this one.
c) Paste this in your directory too, yes the exact same place as previously.
d) You'll likely be prompted on overwriting again. Do so!
7) Play! The mod files have merged into your game's folders to their proper locations.
