    I downloaded and installed lost legion today, followed the instructions as best i could, but when i came to play it it told me unit skeleton could not be found. I then placed the animation folder out of the original mod for rtw and started the game again. This time i got a message telling me that there was a;
    Script Error in bi/rim/data/export_descr_unit.txt, at line 35, column 18. Unrecoginsed mount type '4amountrotkh.

    I really want to use this mod and any help resolving the problem would be brilliant. I am a noob at modding, but i have repeated the process over and over again to no avail

    also, i reinstalled the entire game today with every expansion and it worked fine

    Is your RTW patched to 1.5?

    Also, can you be more specific as to what exactly you did? The installation instructions are so detailed, that I would be simply repeating them if I tried to explain how to install the Lost Legion properly.

    it's the gold edition and it's patched to 1.5. First if all i installed the rome total war version, and tested it, it worked fine. Then i installed the lost legion, created the RIM file in the bi folder, copied the lost legion RIM file over that, changed the target of the shortcut to "C:\Program Files (x86)\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -show_err -nm -mod:bi\rim, didn't touch the bit in the brackets but added that on the end. Then i clicked the shortcut, it started up like it was going to play, then it ctd and told me that the skeleton for one of the units doesn't exist, so i saved a backup copy, and tried to replace the line with something that did work. The problem was on this line about the Mumakil, so i removed the thing that didn't work and replaced it with something that did. I then started the game and again it ctd and told me this time that the skeleton for the warg riders didn't exist. I researched this online and a modder was talking about how the skeleton meant the animation and not the actual animal itself. So then i copied the animation folder from the original mod into the RIM data folder and started the game, this time it ctd but told me that there was a; Script Error in bi/rim/data/export_descr_unit.txt, at line 35, column 18. Unrecoginsed mount type '4amountrotkh. That is everything i've done. I reinstalled the entire game today and it is all up to date. Hopefully that will help

    Re-install Rome Total War to a non program file location on your C drive. Mods dont like windows 7. Then patch it, then try again.

    Ok, let me make sure i have the installation procedure right. First, i take the version for RTW 1.5, extract is somewhere temporary. Then i take the data file from, that, and copy it to a RIM file in the ci folder in the BI version of FATW. then, i take the patch, take the RIM folder and merge it with the data file in the ci folder?

    Please rep me for my posts, not for the fact that i have a Pony as an Avatar.

    1. Extract TNS - RTW somewhere temporarily.
    2. Create a bi/RIM folder in your RTW directory. This is where the Lost Legion files will end up.
    3. Take the "data" folder from the extracted TNS-RTW folder and move it inside the bi/RIM one, so that you now have a bi/RIM/data folder.
    4. Extract the Lost Legion files somewhere temporarily.
    5. Take the RIM folder from the above temporary location and overwrite with it the RIM folder in your RTW/bi folder.

    To sum it up. You create a bi/RIM folder. First you put inside there the data folder from TNS-RTW and then you overwrite the entire RIM folder with the RIM folder of the "Lost Legion" patch.
