The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin. When all is orderly, he does not forget that disorder may come. Thus his person is not endangered, and his States and all their clans are preserved.

    Thank you for your comments!

Final version of Teutonic knight Mk III

I added a belt for the shield, moved scabbards on the back as for a two-handed sword and removed the helmet decoration, it will be used only for order's senior knights.

    Fantastic Atilla!

I do find some of the shields 10-20% too small, and many of the swords too small. We have a Teutonic Era sword in my Grandfather's house in Poland and it is quite longer than these.

Also, I recommend add maces and warhammers as they were hugely popular with the Teutonic Knights...

    Are these for Baltic Wars?

I don't focus much on 100% historical accuracy, I focus on visual beauty. As for using thease models in baltic crusade mod, I'll think a bit.

Yes, I allso remember crusader swords, for example from the polish film "Crusaders", as being longer, I will make swords longer for 20%. As for shields, I thought that they must be smaller as for a cavalryman. I'll search for more sources.

Hammers and axes will come, for example next teutonic knight will have an impressive battleaxe and helmet with horns.

    And now...

I really like the Livonian... when you make the Grand Masters, give them early gothic armour and lots of banners and decorations.

Please do not take this film as reference! This contains too many hitorical mistakes to be referenced! Please... There are other, much more reliable sources.
But generally Asterix is right about sword lenghts.

"Crusaders" time period is 200 years after the Battle of Lake Peipus, so I don't use it as a source for my models, I just referd it because of swords.
Just curious... did the senior teutonic knights realy had peacock features on their helmets, like in that film?

Cool is a word that can't begin to describe these, since they are so far beyond the definition of cool that the word cool pales in comparison
