Hey there, ive been searching around my house everywhere in hope to find the Install cd for Medieval 2, i am missing the Cd1, however not the Cd2, i want to then install the Kingdoms expansion, which i also have the CD code for, problem is, as i cant find the Cd one ,i cant really get anywhere, even though i have bought everything and i have my cds.

Is there anything that can be done? I have already re-bought the game due to missing booklets before so i dont feel like paying for it a 3rd time. Is there somewhere where you can download an nstaller then just run your cd code through? As i am going to play kingdoms i would only need that Cd to play so it wouldnt be a problem for me

The reason i am asking for help here is because incompetent Sega support wonbt reply to my supporttickets, even though ive asked to 4 different stations

That is because they can't help you. You might be able to add your cd code to Steam through the add game function. Besides that, there are only illegal ways to fix this problem.

I am aware that this would only mean "illegal" actions, however, i personally think its unlogical as i have paid for my games, Considering ive propably spent 100 pounds on the game, buying exp. and neew copies of the game, etc, even so, it is for myself, as i am missing a CD. Its not like i am asking people to give me a new cd code or anything.

I would have atleast appreciated a reply from them explaining this to me instead of ignoring it lol, thanks for help, will try with my steam acc.

I tried, and it said it was the wrong issued one, i would assume steam has their own Cd keys then, any other options? hmph.

Worst comes to worst and you have to buy it again it's on a budget release if you want the actual disc. £5 here in the UK. Just chalk it up as experience and be more organised in how you keep your discs.

Indeed!! The Gold Edition is a real bargain these days They're virtually giving the game away at that price.

Yet another reason why Med 2 is Numero Uno

No, you can add non Steam games to Steam. Try this link: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...2219-YDJV-5557

Well, you have a point, but its ultimately up to you to keep the CDs save if you want to keep playing them years down the road.

I figured you might be able to play it without CD if you can provide a proper CD Key to Steam - but I am not certain.

Shipping will propably cost mroe than the gam from the UK, andhaving to wait for it to arrive. money aint the problem really, its the hassle off getting a new game, or well, id rather not spend another 15 (in sweden,) Mostly just because i want to play now, i tried adding the code to steam, didnt work, and to add a game, it has to be already installed into the computer.

Its sort of midnight here so stores closed

If you have to buy the Steam version to have Steam launch it. Addi it to the nonSteam list still requires the disc.

If you have the dvd version and lose the disc, you either buy a download from Steam direct2Drive or Amazon I know for sure, or buy the boxed Gold Edition, or fight with Sega support for a new IF you have original Proo of Purchase and all original packing of which costs about as much as Amazon's Gold price, or use the other discs for frisbees with the dog in the backyard. Your choice.

He can't fight for a new CD, since it wasn't CA's fault that he lost it. Perhaps they could just send him the CD for a nominal fee, but I agree, considering what the price for M2TW is these days its not worth the hassle.

direct2drive has it for $9.99 US. once you buy it, it stays on your account forever. bought RTW about 3 years ago through d2d, forgot about it, and recently downloaded again for free from d2d because i already bought it (if that makes sense). the only downside is waiting the 5-10 hours for it to download. but, again, once you buy it its yours forever. redownload as much as you want and no worry of losing the disc. i'd also assume you could burn the game files to a disc so you dont have to wait to download any time u get a new comp or whatever.

This is a mega necro - but it's worth it.

Since a short while it is possible to download and install the Steam version of M2TW with yoru retail code by using the 'Games' tab in Steam and then 'Activate a product on Steam'. Simply click yourself through the first two small windows that appear and then register the installation code from your CD set. The kingdom campaigns are then available as free DLC!
