how can i get a good harvest i have all the farming stuff like land clearence but it still says poor harvest how can i make that better

Really, town watch, I don't think you can control your harvests: some years are good and some years aren't; and it is probably also based on location (I wouldn't expect good harvests in the Sahara desert).

You can increase your farming income by building farm upgrades BUT this also bumps up your Population Growth (PG). Increase PG too much and you can create an out of control situation where Population shoots up and Public Order (PO -- your town's happiness) plummets.

It sounds like what you are searching for is increased income. If so, build roads, markets, ports and mines. These get you much higher incomes without the nasty PG penalty. (Well, some market upgrades increase PG, but the increased income is typically worth it: much more than you get from a farm.)

God, I hate it when I conquer a city that is extremely fertile and has the highest farming level. Revolts all around. This mainly pertains to the Egyptian cities, though the Pyramids do help to an extent.

Patavium also has good harvests. About ten to fourteen turns after I build a Pro-consuls palace, they're ready for the imperial palace. I barely get to build new buildings b/c if i don't build the palace they will get mad.

i think it is also based around luck and the climate of that region

lol it mostly depends on regoin like in the winter months u migh have bad harvest and like the other guy said its like life some are good and others are bad

I've always thought that life is like a box of chocolates...

Also, I'd like to recommend that you conquer the areas with fertile regions quicker than the others. This way you get to have cities that can create good units and are located close enough to the frontline. Plus, you can introduce your culture to a smaller population so that there will be less revolting.
