    Default Question on troop movement

I'm not sure how scripts work, so I have a question.

Does the script make armies "teleport" rather than walk. See, I had this beautiful death full of honour and glory set up for merc Eric Ragnar and his army, trying to hold back the hordes of Chaos at a river- crossing with no chance of victory.

It's a long river and Chaos doesn't seem the type to take detours.

Imagine Ragnar's, and my, dissapointment when, the next turn, the armies of Chaos popped up at the other side of the river.

No bridge battle....no glorious death for Ragnar...

So is this normal, caused by the script or am I missing something?

    Yep, they move by script.

So the stacks won't attack anyone until they reach their goal?

I had pretty much the same thing, but with Richthofen the Crusader, who had lead his army to valiantly defend the empire from Nurgle by holding the bridge against impossible odds!

But then those damned Nurglings swam across the river and started attacking my capital :c

I have to admit I reloaded a previous save there... Then I held them at my capital with no losses

On a related note, after that one battle at my capital I was attacked by another stack (out of the original 5) and the other 3 disapeared without a trace. What happened there?
I salute those who took the Hungarian Phrasebook simply because of the quote!

Yes. You can however intercept them if you have armies close enough to their teleport zone.

It's VERY annoying, but it's probably the only viable way to prevent those army from wandering in the wastes with no purpose, and making them actually doing what they are supposed to do.
It's only after you have lost everything, that you are free to do anything.

i had the same playing as wissenland, orks arrive en masse and i had armys on all bridges and spare stacks to stop them ready, and the orks all teleport past me as if they've suddenly aquired borg technology! but i guess its the only way to make them do as theyre told. cheers
