Icon5 Installer doesn't install into specified folder

As said above, according to the instructions, on a windows 7 system, you shouldn't install RS2 into the program files (x86) folder so I made a clean install of RTW Gold (includes 1.6) into the other (non x86) program files folder. When I install RS2 I specify that it should be installed into that specific folder, but when I check, it made a folder in the (x86) program files folder and installed it there. I did everything according to the instructions except turning UAC off, 'cause I don't know how. But apart from that I don't see why the installer doesn't install into the folder I want.

Does someone know what I'm doing wrong?

    Not really....

To turn off UAC go to the 'search program and files' box in the 'Windows Start menu' and type in User Account Control' and select 'Change User Account Control Settings' which will get you this screen:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Alternatively, you can go through the 'Control Panel' screen and you will see the bottom option will get you to the above screen:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I honestly don't know why RSII will be installed to the "c:\program files (x86)" folder when you pointed it to the "c:\program files" folder. I'd suggest creating your own "c:\games" folder and installing all games there or a similarly named folder.

    They're both program files folders...
Security applies to both of them. Most likely if you werent running the install specifically as an admin, then the installer wasnt allowed to make the change into the directory, because its still protected.

    C:/RS2 is the best place.
