    Default Vanilla TO textures?

    Out of curiosity, how hard would it be to revert to the vanilla textures for the TO units, or at least the TO units that existed in vanilla kingdoms? Is it a copy and paste procedure or more complicated?

    You'd have to unpack the textures from the teutonic campaign files and then copy them into the right places under SS6.3\data\unit_models\_units. Instructions for the unpacker are in M2TW\tools\unpacker.

    So it would be a copy/paste operation, automatically overwriting the necessary files in the SS folder? If so, any tips on how to do it CC?

    Edit: Ok, did the 'unpack all' option, but I only see the data packs for vanilla. Crusades and Teutonic (the only kingdoms campaigns I have installed) are still packed. What do I need to do to unpack the correct Teutonic campaign data?

    There is a .bat file specifically for unpacking the teutonic campaign. Use that.

    I don't see any bat files for the Teutonic packs. It isn't in the unpacker folder. I looked all over the actual Medieval II folder itself as well as Sega/Medieval II/Mods/Teutonic. All that exists in the Teutonic folder is Data(folder), Packs(folder), EULA(text), and Readme(text).
    If I search for Teutonic in the Medieval II folder, it brings up the TO textures from the SS 6.3 folder, but not the vanilla textures.

    Do you have to point the unpacker at that folder?

    It should be in the unpacker folder. Hmm...maybe it only puts it there if you install all of kingdoms?

    At any rate I'll give you mine. You'll have to put this text into a .bat file manually as TWC doesn't allow for .bat uploads

    Success. It is currently unpacking the Teutonic files (properly I hope) and then later I will look at the correct copy and pasting. Thanks a lot for you help CC.
    Ok, one more question. If I just copy the required mesh files (i.e. the Christ Knight files for example) and the paste into the general SS 6.3 folder, it should automatically detect and then ask to overwrite, correct?

    Ok well, got CTDs when I tried to use any changes, so I reinstalled everything and started a TO campaign with the default SS textures. IIRC the TO 6.4 textures are the same as the TO 6.3 textures, yet like them much better now than I did in 6.3. I will probably continue playing TO with these textures, and not worry about trying to transfer them correctly. Yet I did refresh my memory of the unpacker, and can now unpack the Kingdoms data, so thanks for that CC
